At Hammerhead Sheds we back every shed with a limited lifetime warranty—here’s what it covers!​

​

We stand behind the quality of every custom shed we build. Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty ensures your shed remains functional and structurally sound for as long as you own it, covering any issues arising from our installation or workmanship. Below are the details of what’s covered, what’s not, and the terms of this warranty.​

What’s Covered Under the Lifetime Workmanship Warranty:​

This warranty applies to the original shed owner and is valid for the lifetime of ownership, provided the shed remains at its original installation site. If any of the following issues occur due to our workmanship, We will repair them at no cost to you:​

Shed Settlement:

  • If your shed settles unevenly over time due to improper leveling during installation, we will come out, jack up the affected side, and place shims under the corner(s) to restore it to level. (Pets or animals digging is not covered)

Trim Issues:

  • If pieces of PVC trim come loose or fall off due to faulty attachment, we will reattach or replace them as needed.

​​

Door Malfunctions:

  • If shed doors (single or double) fall off, go out of level, or fail to operate properly due to installation errors, we will realign, reattach, or adjust them to working condition.

​​

Shelves and Ramp Failures:

  • If workbench shelves, loft shelves, or ramps we’ve built come apart or collapse due to defective construction, we will repair or rebuild them to original specifications.

​​

Overhang Problems:

  • If roof overhangs (standard 4", upgraded 6", or PVC) detach or fail due to improper installation, we will resecure or replace them.

​​

Water Leaks from Shingles:

  • If water enters the shed due to improper installation of the 30-year GAF Timberline shingles (e.g., faulty sealing or alignment), we will repair the affected area to stop the leak and replace any wood that’s been damaged by water.

 

Structural Integrity:

  • If floor joists (2x6, 12" or 16" OC), wall studs (2x4 24” or 16" OC), or solid block footings fail due to our construction errors (e.g., splitting or shifting from poor assembly), we will reinforce or replace the affected components.

What’s Not Covered:​

This warranty does not cover issues caused by factors beyond our control, including misuse or abuse, natural wear and tear, or external damage. Examples include:​

​

Accidental Damage:

  • Damage from improper use or abuse, such as hanging heavy items on walls/doors, mounting objects without our approval, kids climbing on doors/roof, or impacts (e.g., lawnmower hitting the shed walls or doors).

​​

Broken Windows:

  • Cracked or shattered sliding/transom windows from impact or misuse or abuse (e.g., thrown objects, storm debris).

​​

Normal Wear and Tear:

  • Fading, peeling, weathering or deterioration of siding (LP SmartSide), roof shingles, or ramps due to age, UV exposure, or heavy foot traffic.

​​

Owner Modifications:

  • Issues arising from alterations you make post-installation (e.g., cutting into walls, adding non-approved features).

​​

Acts of Nature / Damage from Animals, Critters, Creatures or Pests:

  • Damage from extreme weather (e.g., high winds, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, trees/branches falling) or animals, critters, creatures, or pest damage (e.g., termites, rodents, your dog or cat digging, chewing, or scratching) anything not prevented by standard construction.

Neglect:

  • Problems from failing to maintain the shed, like not clearing debris from the roof or allowing vegetation to grow against it, or dead leaves to accumulate against it.

​​

Warranty Terms and Conditions:​

  • Eligibility: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

  • The shed must remain at its original installation location.

  • Claim Process: Contact us at support@hammerheadsheds.com within 30 days of noticing an issue. Provide photos and a brief description—we will schedule a technician to come do an inspection within 14 days (weather permitting).

  • Repair Timeline: Repairs will be completed within 30 days of inspection, barring delays from parts availability or extreme weather.

  • Materials: we will use equivalent or better materials for repairs (e.g., same GAF shingles or PVC trim), at our discretion.

  • Voided Warranty: The warranty is void if the shed is relocated, dismantled, or significantly altered without our approval.

Additional Notes

  • Manufacturer Warranties: The 30-year GAF shingle warranty, 50 year LP SmartSide panel warranty, and Lifetime Royal PVC Trim are separate and handled by their manufacturers—we will assist as much s possible with claims if needed.

  • Satisfaction Guarantee: Beyond this warranty, our goal is your happiness, satisfaction, and peace of mind. If something’s not right, let us know—We will make it right.
